The great solemnity of the Glorious Cross that we celebrate on September 14th is the basic theme meditated on and absorbed in all through this liturgical period of Eliyah-Sliba. 7 October 2018, Seventh Sunday of Eliyah-Sliba
Importance of this day 7th Sunday of Elijah-Sliba

Prayer of the dayJesus whose commandments are clear and enlighten the eyes, You have promised Your heavenly treasures to those who repent and receive them. Grant us the reward You assured the labourers of the eleventh hour, who sincerely believe in You and acknowledge You. Count us among those invited to Your heavenly banquet and grant us a place at Your right hand. Then, clothed in splendid apparel, we shall joyfully go out to meet You carrying the lamps of deeds of love. May we then receive from You the happiness You promised to those who labour in Your vineyard.
