Importance of this day Sixth Wednesday of Denha
Engarta (Epistle Reading): 3 Peter 1:20-2:3
Evangalion (Gospel): Matthew 15:1-9
Prayer of the dayJesus the True Bridegroom, the human race longed for the love of God as a bride for her groom. When You stood on the banks of the Jordan for Baptism, John the Baptist pointed You out as the Bridegroom long desired. May Your Churches always proclaim and teach You as the ultimate fulfilment of all human longing. You gave us all to Mary as her children through John Your disciple while You hung upon the Cross. May we lead a life worthy of Your glorious Cross in imitation of Your Mother.
