|Prayer of the day||Jesus who is our refuge and a strong tower against the enemies, You gave Noah the gift of the fruit of the vine, but it was abused. We pray that all those who are struggling against alcoholism may be strengthened to become free, and that their families may be helped and healed during this holy season of Great Fast. You be our strength and our help. May Your right hand sustain us and Your strength support us; we shall fight the good fight, obtain victory and merit the crown of victory with Your saints. Then we shall ceaselessly praise You.|

Mysteries of Jesus' Life, Passion, Death and Burial - He came to His own - they brought Him to the Cross - thickness and darkness of human sin - "Petratha" means a looking back - a salvific call to reconciliation - repair through prayer, penance and almsgiving.
Remembrance of dear Departed Ones
We enter Great Fast commemorating our Departed ones - let us continue to keep their memory all through this season through special prayer, penance and almsgiving, which are also the best means for our sanctification.
