Mark the Evangelist is the author of the Gospel of Mark. St Mark founded the Alexandrian Church (now known as Coptic Church). The origin of Coptic liturgy traces back to Saint Mark. He is also believed to be the founder of Christianity in Africa.

Mystery of Resurrection - Jesus' victory over the world, sin and death - He fills us with the glory of His Resurrection, Peace, Satisfaction and Joy - Life in Jesus is one of peace and tranquillity.
Risen Jesus = Peace - Resurrection celebration in the Syro-Malabar Church is entitled "Peace Celebration" - Mesihites (Christians) are to be peace-makers and peace-lovers - Let us greet each other in this season saying: "Let the Risen Lord be with you" and respond "Let Resurrection, Life and Renewal be with you".
