Importance of this day Friday of Gold
The first Friday in the season of the Apostles is known as Arubta d’Dahba, 'Friday of Gold' in Syriac. The name comes from the healing of a man lame from the birth as we read in Acts 3:1-26.

Prayer of the dayJesus the Great Treasure-House, grant that Your Churches may receive the abundance of Your gifts and graces. May we carry Your burden lightly, proclaim Your Name and suffer persecution joyfully for Your sake, like Peter and John and Your other Apostles. Like them, may we always be ready to share our faith and the power of Your good gifts with others, that we may rejoice in Your Kingdom.
