Prayer of the dayJesus who was sacrificed for our salvation, the Eucharist was prefigured by the burning Coal given from the heavenly altar to Isaiah by the Seraph. As Your Holy Gifts touch our lips, may they truly purify us of all sin and deceit, and enkindle in us the fire of love for You and others.

Exactly as Jesus was formed in Virgin Mary so too the Church in this world by the Power of the Holy Spirit - those who are led by the Spirit must always be vigilant to root out at the very outset all selfish and individualistic likes and dislikes which topple down our faithfulness to the Church.
