Prayer of the dayJesus who rose up on the third day as it is written, we raise up our thoughts to You. Draw us away from the mire of sin and strip us of every bad intention. Take from our hearts the love and concern for money and wealth, so that we may understand the value of evangelical poverty and trust in Your Providence. May we reject whatever contradicts Your love and thus glorify You at all times.

Exactly as Jesus was formed in Virgin Mary so too the Church in this world by the Power of the Holy Spirit - those who are led by the Spirit must always be vigilant to root out at the very outset all selfish and individualistic likes and dislikes which topple down our faithfulness to the Church.
