Importance of this day The Passing of Marth Mariam
On August 15, we celebrate the assumption of Blessed Virgin Mary. It is the oldest feast day of Our Lady, celebrated by all Apostolic Churches. Prayer of the dayJesus the Surety of our Resurrection, You wished to be born of the Virgin Mary to save us and to bring us back to Yourself. When Your saving plan was accomplished, You returned to Your Father, and then drew Your Mother, full of grace, to Yourself and seated her at Your right hand. Through her prayers, O Lord, have mercy on us. Through her intercession, liberate us and all our countrymen, that one day we may obtain her state and live with You.

Age of Fruitfulness

Church becomes attractive through her holiness and martyrdom - not through this-worldly achievements - "Blessed are the poor in spirit...Blessed are the merciful...Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven" (Mt 5:3-12)
