Prayer of the dayJesus whose mercy is on the holy Church and her children, You are firm in Your patience in teaching us, and You have granted us victory and triumph. Help us now to overcome our pride and self-centredness through humility and prayer, that we may know Your love and gather treasures which do not corrupt. As we trust in Your mercy, and not in our own justice, we lift up to You the needs of all Your world and all who dwell in it. Answer us in Your mercy and love for mankind.
